Partial Cimolichthys Jaw

Cimolichthys is often referred to as the barracuda of the inland sea.  This is a partial upper and lower jaw.  Zoom into the pictures for detail.  I purposely left matrix between the jaws as to not disturb the very small teeth.  You can also see many of the teeth were broken away from the jaw but present in the matrix between jaws.  This piece is preserved with a penetrant/stabilizer.  The piece measures 6 1/4" long at the longest point.  This fossil is from the Niobrara Chalk of Western Kansas.
