Xiphactinus audax vertebra in matrix

This is a section of Xiphactinus vertebra in the natural matrix.  It includes some spines.  The back shows where cracks have been glued.  Piece measures about 8 1/2" by 5 7/8" and is about 1" thick.  Vertebra are approximately 1" x 1 3/8".  This fossil is from the Niobrara Chalk of Western Kansas.
