1 7/16" Cretoxyrhina mantelli #16

This is a very nice Cretoxyrhina mantelli tooth measuring just at 1 7/16".  The tooth is complete with a minor nick on the tip.  The lingual side has some yellow mineralization on it.  I did not remove this as when I've found teeth in the jaw, the cartilage had similar mineralization.  See high resolution pictures for details. The tooth is from the Cretaceous age Niobrara chalk of western Kansas.  This is a tooth we have collected ourselves.
