Ptychodus mortoni #8
This is a very large Ptychodus mortoni tooth from the Cretaceous age Niobrara Chalk of Western Kansas. Ptychodus was a shell crushing shark. Tooth measures 1 3/8" wide. Enamel is bleached but in good condition. There is a large crack where the tooth split but it was found this way and has not been glued. See pictures for details.
