Mosasaur Tooth and Jaw Bone in Matrix #5

Mosasaur Tooth from the Cretaceous phosphate beds of Morocco.

This is a large tooth measuring about 1 5/8" not counting the root.   The tooth is in the original matrix and is also set in a piece of the original jaw bone.  the replacement tooth that would have grown in from below is also present in this piece of jaw.  See high resolution pictures for details.  the entire piece measures about 4.5" x 5".
