Pteranodon Wing Bone 1

This is a partial 1st phalanx from a Pteranodon.  The wing bone measures 12.5" inches long and just under 1.5" wide.  One side has been cleaned better than the other for display purposes.  The other side still has matrix and root material attached and glued.  This has been left for stability of the bone.  These bones are extremely thin and fragile.     Collected in the Niobrara Chalk (Cretaceous) of western Kansas.
